2010 - The 30th Anniversary Year
This is the 30th Anniversary year of the Ashton Smith Singers, an outstanding achievement in a world that generally focusses on temporary, instant music and on performers with limited longevity and appeal. The Singers have been providing musical pleasure to a very wide cross section of society with music that spans an enormous repertoire. Our audience base has been loyal and consistent for three decades.
The Singers are looking forward to offering a wonderful series of musical performances during the year.
The program for 2010 included a celebratory 30th Anniversary concert on Saturday 21st August, which showcased the choir and soloists and featured Mozart's Requiem and John Rutter's Gloria. The Singers will also continue its acclaimed Christmas concert series in December.
